Calarts Visit!

Wow, I haven't posted in forever. About 3 weeks ago I went to Calarts to visit the campus, take a tour & information session. Let me tell you...it was incredible. At first my dad, sister and I got there like 1 hour early and we just walked around. At first I was disappointed, it seemed SO small (i knew it was small), the streets cracked...it just...wasn't what I was expecting. (a castle, just kidding) But then we went inside the front enterence, and wow. I just loved it. We walked to the cute little coffee shop and got some hot cocoa, and after bought a pen & postcard at the student shop.

The information sessions was great, a lot of people, but man. Libby is seriously one of the nicest people I have ever met. She seemed so excited about Calarts, and knew so much. She very kindly looked at some of my drawings, and gave me some advice. (most of which I knew) But she told me I'm going in the right direction, and really encouraged me. :)

The tour was awesome. THE BASEMENT, IS THE SICKEST PLACE EVER. (level 5) SHIT. I can't wait to draw something on those walls. haha Honestly, that was just the push I needed to try and practice more and more so I can make it into calarts. I love the school, and it seems like just the place for me. I am extremely independent and hardworking, and it sounds like you need to be in that school. :)

I wish I took more pictures! D:

I will post drawings in my next post. :3

lol me being a loser

  1. That's so awesome that you finally visited. I never thought that Calarts looked weird until I visited Art Center in Pasadena. That place looks hardcore and everything is so shiny! I was like, wow, Calarts looks crappy, after visiting it. lol
But Calarts is a really good school! I really want to go too.
And the basement is aweome!! I saw it when there was an original Tim Burton painting still on the wall. Now it's gone. )=
